Today I want to share with you a little secret. Every time I see someone step into negative territory I want to say: “stop, you don’t want to do that because………” But then I remember that there are some things that are inevitable and other things that are dictated by choice.

When I was younger, I made a lot of choices that I don’t necessarily regret, but I do sometimes wish there had been a different ending. There were times that I truly struggled with self-love, self-motivation and self-care. It was not easy, but it was possible for me to reach the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I just didn’t know it yet because the old me couldn’t see beyond my pain and discomfort.

How many of us have witnessed our own destruction right in front of our face, but we’re unable to recognize it? How many of us continue to live a life of not being able to forgive self? How many of us wish that we could go back to the old self and say:”it’s going to be okay, just push through.”

I want to encourage you to do just that! Send a solid message to the old you and move on to your happiness by embracing the current you. Do not allow others to box you in what use to be without allowing you to define what is. You are ultimately responsible for past, present and future with no regrets.

So break up with the old you, unless the times were so good you can’t move without it. Otherwise give yourself permission to move on with the help of a supportive group of family and friends. However you want to do it, is up to you, but do it because your life depends on it. Now is the time to have the talk with the old you and then move on to bigger and better things. You deserve the best!
